Website governance

Privacy & Cookies.

MareForge applies a consent-first approach to website analytics. Optional measurement is activated only when a visitor accepts it.

01

Scope and responsible contact

This notice explains how the MareForge website handles information generated when visitors browse the site or contact MareForge. Questions, requests or concerns can be sent to contact@mareforge.com.

02

Information processed

The website may process essential technical information needed to deliver pages securely. If analytics consent is granted, Google Analytics may also receive information such as visited pages, approximate location, device and browser category, referral source and selected website interactions. MareForge does not intentionally send enquiry text or email content to Google Analytics.

03

Purpose and legal basis

Optional analytics are used to understand website performance, identify useful content and improve the route from a technical requirement to an appropriate MareForge service. Analytics are processed on the basis of visitor consent. The site remains available when analytics are rejected.

04

Cookies and consent controls

Google Analytics is not loaded until the visitor selects “Accept analytics”. The consent decision is stored locally in the browser so the site can respect it on future visits. Visitors may change or withdraw their choice at any time. When analytics are rejected after previous acceptance, the site also attempts to remove MareForge Google Analytics cookies from the browser.

05

Service providers and international processing

Website delivery and consented analytics rely on specialist technology providers, including the website hosting platform and Google Analytics. These providers may process technical information in accordance with their contractual and privacy safeguards, including where processing involves locations outside the European Economic Area.

06

Retention and visitor rights

Analytics information is retained according to the configured Google Analytics retention period and is intended to be kept only as long as useful for website performance analysis. Depending on the applicable law, visitors may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, and may withdraw analytics consent at any time. A complaint may also be submitted to the competent data-protection authority.

07

Contact enquiries

Selecting an email link opens the visitor’s own email application. Information sent by email is processed for the purpose of responding to the enquiry, evaluating a potential engagement and maintaining appropriate business records. Visitors should avoid sending confidential technical data before suitable confidentiality arrangements are in place.
