Scope boundaries

Stage 0 defines the work; it does not silently absorb the work.

  • Detailed engineering and production drawings sit outside Stage 0.
  • Certified FEA, CFD, class approval and conformity assessment require a separate written scope.
  • Procurement, manufacturing quotations and supplier commitments begin only under an approved follow-on scope.
  • Performance obligations depend on an agreed and adequately verified technical baseline.

Commercial discipline

A fixed decision package with explicit entry conditions.

  • Fixed fee follows a fixed assessment scope and agreed deliverables.
  • Kick-off follows a signed SOW, cleared commencement payment and receipt of the required client inputs.
  • Client-caused delays move the reserved delivery slot.
